Let The Madness Begin!

In 7 weeks time the chaotic madness of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe will be upon us again. This year's 'Fill Yer boots' campaign will see over 3,000 shows performed throughout the city. Love it or hate it - everyone has a different opinion - it transformed Edinburgh into something quite magical. The city comes alive with street performers, flyerers coaxing the unwary passer-by into a show they didn't know they wanted to see, and masses of tourists from all over the world turning the streets into a vibrant, living, thing.

You know when the Festival Fringe is kicking off when the posters start going up. I've had many a show photograph appear on posters and billboards all over the city and it's always a joy to see. Everyone taking part this year will be frantically putting everything together now - accommodation will have been sorted (we hope!), artwork will be prepared, photography should have been done but there's always last minute demand, and flyers will be ready for sending to the printers.

For anyone coming to Edinburgh for the first time it will be an experience you won't forget. Enjoy it and I look forward to seeing many of you and your shows throughout August.
