Well-deserved Coverage for the Caledonian Thebans

Players from The all-inclusive Caledonian Thebans RFC

I was very proud to see the amazing and inspiring Caledonian Thebans RFC receiving some well-deserved press coverage recently, and to see some of my images being used too.

Having only fairly recently got to know the Thebans and some of the players, what they do for the LGBTQ+ community is incredible but it not recognised enough. As well as being a fully inclusive rugby team they run an annual Rugby Clinic here in Edinburgh where up to 500 LGBTQ+ rugby players, as well as straight players, from the rest of the UK and Europe turn up to train, compete and, of course, party. I have covered the event twice so far and, as yet, nobody from the world of rugby nor any of the national or local press have ever turned up. With so much homophobia still rife in the world of, particularly, male sport, lets show the world what The Thebans, and Edinburgh, can teach the world about inclusivity!
