Touching Story Turned into Theatre

I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing Rhona McAdam, the mother of a child with Duchenne muscular dystrophy since birth. Sadly, Ruairidh died last year so to pay tribute to him his mum decided to write a play about their life and experiences together.

The play was put on by the Citadel Group, a Leith-based theatre group, at the Scottish Storytelling Centre on the Royal Mile, Edinburgh.

Both funny and heartbreaking, ‘Caring’ turned out to be a beautiful tribute to Rhona’s wonderful son.
