So, what exactly is Personal Branding and why would I need it?

All too often business owners merge into the background and let the façade of their company represent who they are and what they have to offer. They lead from within and hope that the company’s brand and reputation will be enough to win new customers and keep current business ticking over. This, or course, works for many businesses and has done for centuries. However, studies have shown that if the company owner becomes the brand and becomes more customer-facing, great things can happen to the business’s reputation, which ultimately will see a huge growth in sales.

Build TRUST

Show clients your passions and motivations and connect on a personal level

So, why do clients react to business owners who embrace personal branding? The first thing, and most importantly, is trust. Branding will show off who you are and what you stand for. Customers prefer dealing with genuine people. They are looking for authentic business owners who have a passion for what they do and who want to show it off. This will also help show what your motivation is for what you do and why you do it. As you are no longer standing in the shadows of your company, clients will start to connect to you on a more personal level while enhancing their view of you as a professional. With that emotional attachment, trust, and ultimately your value to customers, will greatly increase.

SHOW OFF what you do!

Let prospective customers see you and your business in action

As you look around at other businesses and competitors, you will see that not many of the company’s owners step out and become the face of their business. Therefore, personal branding sets you apart from your competition and makes you stand out. Look at Richard Branson or Elon Musk. Loathe them or love them, you know what they stand for and who their customers are. Customers will come to you as they will feel they know you in some way – you have made a connection with them – and you will soon become the go-to person in your chosen field. This will help build your reputation and future customers will choose you over your rivals as they will have confidence in you and what you do.

Build STRONGER RELATIONSHIPS!

Give new and current customers confidence in you and what you can offer them

Having established your brand, future customers will have a much clearer understanding of what it is that you do and who you are both as an individual and as a prospective company to deal with. Therefore, you will be attracting the right customers for you, saving you time and money on lost leads and incompatible clients.

With all this in place by utilising the power of personal branding, customers will be prepared to pay a premium for your services allowing you to increase your prices and ultimately boost your profits.
